Cheryl Christine
Vocals
Cheryl arrived (in Hilton Head), Spring of 1987 for a month booking at Casablanca, formerly Scratch McGoo's, lately Jump 'n' Phil's. Tom Reilley hired her for his Crazy Crab restaurant in Harbourtown. Locals and visitors loved her! Why not? The beautiful Minnesota-born blonde sings and plays the piano with a unique blend of tender finesse and barrelhouse gusto. Live entertainment!
Her popularity translated into co-ownership of Casablanca Piano Bar in 1988, and by 1991, she was ready to take the leap. She opened Cheryl's LeCabaret Piano Bar. For ten years, LeCabaret (now the Sage Room) was a popular hangout for locals and a true discovery for visitors. Health problems forced her to sell in 2001. "It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make," she reflects. "I will always have so many wonderful memories of those days..." Thankfully, life goes on!
Since closing LeCabaret, Cheryl plays other clubs and events in the area. She also attended Savannah College of Art and Design and studied Film & Video Production. She worked in production at WHHI-TV, Channel 3 Hilton Head, for over 3 yrs, taping and editing shows, conducting interviews and on-location shoots. "That was a great education, and exposure to people and technologies I never would have seen from that angle, otherwise.
I'm not a kid. I am a lot more. I love our life and our animals. Professionally, I am an Artist/Entertainer."
